Introduction to the Bible and Its History

The Bible is one of the most important and best-selling books in the world. But it’s more than just a book—it’s a collection of books written by many different people over a long time, all telling one big story: God's love for the world and His plan to rescue it.

The Bible is split into two main parts:

The Old Testament tells the story of the world from the very beginning—how God created everything, how people turned away from Him, and how He chose a special group called the Israelites to show His love to the world.

The New Testament tells us about Jesus, God's Son, who came to save people and bring them back to God. It also includes the story of the early Christians who shared Jesus’ message with the world.

The Bible was written over about 1,500 years in different places like Israel, Egypt, and even Rome. It has history, songs, prayers, laws, prophecies, letters, and exciting adventures. Even though it was written a long time ago, people today still read it to learn about God, find hope, and understand how to live a good and loving life.

As we explore the Bible together, we’ll also look at real objects, places, and discoveries from history and archaeology that help bring its stories to life!
